Full Moon in Aquarius

It’s the Buck Full Moon!

Welcome to Leo season. As a fixed sign, Leo showcases that we are right in the middle of summer. We are settled into this season. Utilize the powerful full moon energy to re-evaluate how your life feels and what you need to let go.

Full Moons are times of closure. They are times of saying good-bye to what is not in alignment, in order to make space to welcome in new energy. It’s a reminder to ourselves that it is okay to close certain doors - not everything is meant to last.

This full moon peaks in Aquarius, meaning that we are being asked to redefine our structures and responsibilities. Aquarius is an air sign, ruled by Uranus and Saturn. This sign is visionary, all about invention and innovation. They do not care for routine - which means that this full moon might be asking you to shake up your routine.

This full moon occurs in Leo season, which is the sign all about loyalty, passion, and main character energy. It’s a loving and warm sign. Ruled by the Sun, Leo is a fire sign, reminding us that it is okay to take the driver’s seat and make bold choices. And sometimes the bold choice is to end something that you have been hanging onto.

Full Moons allow everything that has been hiding to come to light. We have the ability to see clearly what has been hard to see (or understand). Connecting to our inner child and allowing ourselves to play reminds us what is important in life. Remember - at the end of your life, what will have been the most important? What will you look back upon, wishing you did more of? Start doing that now.

Take care during this time. Lean into the feeling that you want to break free from structures and routines. Aquarius is an independent sign - and while there is so much strength in this quality, there is also so much strength in community. It is a balancing act. Know how to take care of yourself, while also taking care of those you love (and allow them to take care of you). Practice radical inclusion AND self reliance - it’s the best of both worlds.

Build a new routine. Maybe try having no routine and being less rushed as you start your day. Allow in a little flexibility as you close certain chapters, and allow yourself to dance freely into the next one.

Stand barefoot under the full moon and marvel at the gift that is life. Presence is one of the greatest treats we can gift ourselves, especially in moments of solitude. Practice it constantly and consistently.

ALIGNED ACTION

Build an entire new routine and have fun with it. Plan it out - what time do you wake up? What do you do first thing? Maybe the routine is no routine. Maybe you don’t plan it out, but rather spend the morning slowing down, sitting outside and drinking coffee with no phone. Perhaps it is extra playtime with the kids. Perhaps it is a run instead of a hike, or vice versa. Maybe you ask a friend to meet you for a breakfast date before work. Perhaps you make a completely different breakfast than you usually do. Whatever it is, shake up the start of your day. One of the ways that we can slow down time is by doing something different everyday. Enjoy starting each day a little differently. Note what works, and what doesn’t. Pay attention to how your day feels differently, and if it is good or bad.

What is one activity your inner child is asking you to do this summer?

as always, thank you for being here - and thank you to the Moon for always guiding us.

markie
